The new 2017 Ford Fusion sedan continues to be a game changer among midsize sedans, with the most technologically advanced lineup ever. Available in S, SE, and Titanium trim levels, Fusion adds a new all-wheel-drive V6 Sport and sophisticated new Platinum trim levels this year.

Control hardware for Fusion consists of an four-wheel independent suspensions system with MacPherson struts combined with a short-long arm configuration and a stabilizer bar up front and a multi-link setup with twin-tube gas-pressurized shocks at the rear. The Fusion V6 Sport sedan adds continuously controlled damping for real-time suspension tuning based on setup and road inputs. The system features pothole detection technology that adjusts the shock absorbers to greatly reduce the severity of impact transmitted to occupants.
